During this intensive two-day training, you will learn all the basic skills, build a clear pricing strategy, and gain the confidence to really get started, even without experience. This two-day training from Sempertex Europe is specially developed for beginners who want to transform their hobby into a sustainable, profitable, and professional balloon business.
Day 1 — FOUNDATIONS & BUSINESS (5 hours)
On day one, we lay a strong technical and commercial foundation on which your business can grow.
Module 1: Product Knowledge & Care (120 min)
Learn everything about the materials you use daily: Latex, Foil, and Bubble/Clearz.
We review all nine Sempertex textures (Fashion, Reflex, Metallic, etc.) and show you how to create a luxury, premium look.
You'll also learn how to use the Gas Capacity Chart for correct helium calculations, the use of ULTRA HI-FLOAT™ for longer float times, and all essential safety and sustainability guidelines.
Module 2: Pricing for Profit & Growth (90 min)
Discover how to build prices that really work. You will learn how to correctly calculate Direct Costs, Overhead, and Profit and apply the Golden Formula. We will practice together and briefly discuss the legal start-up and insurance.
Module 3: Hands-On Basics (90 min)
We will build your technical skills step by step. You will learn the professional knot, how to measure and size correctly, make perfect duplets, and the basics of a 4-pack (quad cluster) — essential for any decoration.
Day 2 — DESIGN & LAUNCH (5 hours)
Day two is entirely focused on design, portfolio building, and starting professionally.
Module 4: Classic & Profitable Decoration (150 min)
Together we will create three essential decoration pieces that every beginner must master:
- A sturdy, simple column with spiral effect
- A basic arch on a frame (air-filled)
- Number stacks and table centerpieces
These designs form a profitable starter portfolio.
Module 5: First Steps to Next Level (90 min)
An inspiring introduction to techniques that will elevate your work to the next level.
You will learn to work with Link-o-Loons for quick garlands and get an initial introduction to organic decor: variation in sizing and the popular 'stuff & secure' method.
Module 6: Confidence & Launch Plan (60 min)
We end with your concrete launch plan.
You will learn how to conduct a professional intake interview, how to solve difficult situations (sun, heat, transport), and how to use social media and photography to attract your first customers.
**The workshop will take place with a minimum of 5 participants. If this number is not reached, the workshop may be cancelled no later than Thursday, 1 April, and you will be contacted to reschedule your registration.**
